Sales Director Russia (metalworking industry)



  • Dipl. Engineer in mechanics, technology or similar
  • 5 -10 years successful sales experience in Russia with machine tools/tools
  • Good personal network in Russian machine tool industry
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communicator, convincing, able to highly motivate salespeople, strong leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel 50% at least

Objective / Purpose of the Function

  • Achieve set sales, service and margin targets as defined in business plan
  • Define and approach appropriate segments, target customers, projects
  • Create sustainable new business/sales with end customers according to business plan


  • Full budget responsibility
  • Proper sales acquisition in the territory and coaching sales team according to Corporate sales process
  • Take care of defined key accounts personally
  • Build-up an lead highly competent sales/service team
  • Responsible for all direct sales/service/marketing activities and to support distributors Contact person for services assigned to 3rd parties, as: logistics, administration, legal
  • By-weekly reporting to superior and area sales manager, monthly reporting to management team at HQ
  • Fully document all sales/service activities in CRM
